Trusted Advisor John T. Howard
John was born in South Bend, IN. At age four, his father passed away, causing his mother to relocate back to her home town of Forsyth, GA; where he would grow up. Upon completion of high school, John decided to join the military. He later began to further his education at Fort Valley State College, now Fort Valley State University, and finished online, with American Continental University; with a major in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration.
John has a background in law enforcement, information technology, and politics; where as he became the first African American elected mayor of Forsyth, GA, and also the youngest to hold that position, in 2011. John is currently married, with a son in college. He is a Baptist Deacon of the St. James Baptist Church. He hosts a radio segment, on Majic100FM at 7:30am in Forsyth, GA, on the second Sunday of every month; to address community concerns. He is the Vice Chairman of the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for Forsyth. And he is a former board member of the Georgia Conference of Black Mayors.
